Resiliency and high availability
Advanced Spanning Tree functionality: single-instance STP, Per VLAN Spanning Tree (PVST), Per VLAN Group Spanning Tree (PVGST), Rapid Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1w), and Multi-Instance Spanning Tree (IEEE 802.1s) all provide improved availability and scalability for Spanning Tree-based networks
