SSL Certificate Authority (CA)
An organization that issues and manages security certificates that are used to establish credentials and verify identities when
performing electronic transactions. Cirtificate authoritys often issue SSL certificates to secure a sites data transfer to its clients.
Common CA or certificate authoritys are Verisign, Geotrust and Thawt.
